Wilhelm von Apell (16 January 1892 – 7 March 1969) was a highly decorated ''Generalleutnant'' in the German ''Wehrmacht'' during the Second World War who commanded the 22nd Armoured Division. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
